About this event

I want to share something. My mum died on 28th May.

I haven’t really talked about it.

I went in search of support. A community, group, something. But everyone was sharing in those spaces, and I can’t do that yet.

I keep trying, but I just can’t get the words out. Some hurts are just too deep.

But grief doesn’t wait. It sits in your shoulders. The tightness in your chest. The sleepless night crying followed by headaches. Its in your jaw. In the place behind your eyes that aches when you’ve been holding it together for too long.

I know this because I’ve spent twenty years helping people release what their bodies hold. And I know it because right now, I am living it.

So I created something.

Not a course. Not a programme. Not a carefully branded wellness offering.

The thing I couldn’t find…

Just a room. A quiet room. With fairy lights and mats and an hour where nothing is expected of you.

I’ve called it Life, Loss & Becoming – and I’m holding it at Yoga Sangha in Cheadle on Friday 14th August at 7 pm.

I was recommended to this studio recently, and honestly, the energy in that space stopped me in my tracks. It is the most beautiful room. It was made for this work.

It’s for anyone carrying something. A bereavement. A relationship that ended. A version of yourself you don’t recognise anymore. The life you thought you’d have. The friendships that quietly disappeared. The exhaustion of being the one who holds everyone else together.

You don’t have to name it. You don’t have to share it. You just have to arrive.

If it’s not for you but you know someone who might need it, please share this.

You might be the reason they find their way to the room.

You’re always welcome to join us.

Take a little time for yourself – we’d love to see you here.
