About this event

What if the shapes we make on the mat were gateways to mastering the mind — not just the body?

This 2.5-hour workshop moves beyond the physical practice of asana through the subtle layers of the body so we can get out of the thinking mind into the feeling body. The path to the heart.

An Ashtanga inspired deep dive into how the psoas and diaphragmatic lines link the subtle connective threads through the pelvis, spine, and breath. When these structures open and yield, the body finds greater harmony, supporting both physical integration and emotional resilience

We’ll explore how:

  • Breath bridges unconscious thought patterns and a more awakened, positive mind
  • The body can be re-inhabited as safe ground, reconnecting us to our own innate intelligence
  • The ancient yogis understood opposing universal forces — and how uniting them within the body brings steadiness to challenges on and off the mat

“After decades of practicing Ashtanga Yoga my journey took a deep internal path through a daily Pranayama practice, a softer and internally focused approach to practice emerged.”

Expect:

  • Kriyas such as Uddiana to open the diaphragm & give space to the breath.
  • A dynamic, Ashtanga-inspired sequence to awaken and energise, modified for every-body.
  • Attention to the Pelvic floor ( bandhas) to release deep holding patterns — physical and emotional — and optimise the breath
  • Restorative practices to soften and balance
  • Guided breath to Pranayama and Sankalpa relaxation to close

Together, these create the spaciousness for a deeper practice — an experience of all Eight limbs of Yoga.

We’ll finish with live Q&A and social time to connect, reflect, and share with fellow practitioners.

A chance to refine your practice, deepen your understanding of yoga beyond the physical, and reconnect with its essence: a path of integration, awareness, and transformation.
