Jody

I’m Jody, a meditation teacher and advocate of all things healing and belonging.

My journey to here started when I took a break from my job to travel and take some me time. I trained in hatha yoga, but it was my first week in silence, on a meditation retreat, that really started my life on a different path. Since then, I have traveled extensively in India, America and Europe, training and practicing with some wonderful people.

I take a holistic approach to meditation, drawing on classic Buddhist teachings from Insight and Theravada traditions, and also include Deep Rest, trauma healing and Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing and story telling. It’s my aim to support people to feel safe and brave, to calm nervous systems, encourage warm welcomes and help people cherish themselves.

My wish is to be part of community that harnesses the best in humanity. I think it’s possible. I hope we can be an inclusive world where we redefine power and have kindness, safety and equity as the key values we orientate around.

Angela

I am a qualified Holistic Sound Therapist and have a strong interest in studying energy work also using my intuition.

I was drawn to well-being after having an undiagnosed injury for 4 years. It supported me along my healing journey and kept my hope and optimism going.

This is why I was drawn to sound and using it to help restore healthy vibrations within the body.

I also like to use my intuitive side with the instruments too.

Christin

Originally from Germany I have lived in England since 2012 and now settled in Greater Manchester.

I am a passionate mother of one son. I started my journey to become a qualified lifecoach in 2018 after going through a challenging time in my personal life and found it difficult to get the help that I really needed from my GP. During my course to become a life coach I found my passion in working with the subconscious mind and so trained to become an NLP practitioner and clinical hypnotherapist. I have since helped clients discover their values, needs and goals in life and guide them on their journeys to reach their full potentials, break unhealthy habits and generally start living calmer, peaceful and happier lives.

I offer my clients tailored 121 therapy sessions and run a monthly group session with a different focus each month at the studio.

Lynsey

As a certified Yoga and Yogalates instructor with over a decade of experience, I seamlessly blend the ancient wisdom of yoga with the dynamic strength training of Pilates to offer a holistic approach to wellness. With a deep-rooted passion for helping others and a deep understanding of the body's healing potential, I get immense joy from helping others on their journey to optimal health.

I began my journey with yoga in 2000 whilst pregnant with my first son. Immersing myself in its philosophy and practices instilled in me a profound appreciation for the mind-body connection. Yoga has been with me through life's many twists and turns and I have immense gratitude for all it has offered me since my MS diagnosis in 2007. I have discovered immense benefits from a variety of styles and found myself in 2015 on my first teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow. My transition to Yogalates was inspired by a desire to integrate the core-strengthening benefits of Pilates, creating a balanced practice that enhances flexibility, strength, and mental clarity.

I believe in the power of movement as medicine and am dedicated to helping others heal and thrive. Whether you’re looking to relieve chronic pain, improve your posture, boost your overall vitality or simply find a fun way to stay active, my classes offer something for everyone. My approach is compassionate and tailored to meet individual needs, focusing on sustainable, long-term wellness.

My classes are designed to be fun and inclusive, welcoming individuals of all ages and ability levels. I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where everyone can explore and deepen their practice. My goal is to make every session enjoyable and transformative, leaving you feeling energised and empowered… or calm and rested if that is what your body calls for on the day!

Samantha

Samantha originally taught dance and then moved into the fitness world, qualifying in Yoga, Pilates, Dance fitness and pre & post natal.

She always brings relaxed vibes and an uplifting positive energy to all of her sessions. She totally understands that all our bodies are different, so gives different levels to choose from. For those who want more…. She is famous for throwing in a “Cheeky Challenge”

All Samantha’s classes are about you enjoying yourself whilst keeping your body & mind healthy.

You will often hear her say “Keep breathing & keep smiling”!

Katia

I’m Katia, also known as KosmikFlow. My journey into Kundalini Yoga began during my time as an intensive care nurse, particularly during the challenges of the pandemic. The immense stress I faced led me to explore various types of yoga, but it was Kundalini Yoga that truly resonated with me on a profound level. This ancient practice, which connects pranayama (breath), asana (posture), mudra (hand gestures), and meditation, helped me navigate a very dark period in my life. It not only helped me manage stress but also guided me towards understanding myself more deeply and exploring the greater meaning of life—a journey that continues to unfold.

Driven by a deep desire to immerse myself in this transformative practice, I travelled to India to complete my training in the traditional way, right where Kundalini Yoga originated. As a nurse, my vocation has always been to help others, and now, as I transition from conventional medicine to a more holistic approach, I’m passionate about sharing the healing power of Kundalini Yoga. I’m also training as a hypnotherapist, strongly believing in the connection between mind and body. My teaching style goes beyond simple asanas, focusing on a practice that integrates breath, movement, and meditation to help you flow in rhythm with nature and the universe. Yoga is for everyone, and my mission is to help you rediscover yourself, heal, and live in harmony with the natural and universal flow.

Tim

I have been practicing yoga for around 15 years, my journey started as the result of a serious road accident where I severely injured my back and spine. After months of physiotherapy it was recommended that I start Pilates and basic yoga in order to aid my recovery in the long term.

I started off learning the Iyenga yoga method and taking part in basic Vinyasa classes before being drawn to the Ashtanga style.

I am particularly focused on working with the breath and bandhas, thus making dynamic classes as ‘light’ and ‘floaty’ as possible, using yoga to defy gravity in an intuitive and safe way by mixing in calisthenics body weight control - the more effortless and controlled your practice is, the more relaxing and meditative it can be, and the less chance that you will develop an injury.

On the other hand, there is nothing more invigorating than practicing backbends, arm balances and handstands in a playful and childlike way… especially at the beach! I have had many yoga teachers over the years and I do not believe that any one person is ‘the’ expert or ‘guru’.

Every single yoga teacher, Pilates instructor or fitness trainer that you meet can give you new inspiration, knowledge, techniques and ideas that you can bring in to your physical practice, leading you to the realisation that YOU are your own teacher and everyone else is just there to guide you along the way and share their unique expertise, specialisms and experience.

I believe that self practice alongside regular led group classes is the ultimate way of improving your own personal yoga experience and achieving your fitness and wellbeing goals.

Donna

I began practicing Ashtanga Yoga with Rolf Naujokat at the end of 1998, when I happened across a class on my way to the beach in Goa.

I began teaching in 2012 after realizing how much this practice had transformed my life, and that I would like to pass on some of the benefits I had gained to others. I completed a week’s intensive TT with David Swenson in 2012, and my 200 hour Teacher Training with John Scott in 2014.

In 2017 I was Authorised by Manju Jois to teach Primary and Intermediate series of the Ashtanga method. I feel honoured that he chose to authorise me and trusts me to pass on his life long practice.

I endeavor to practice with John Scott, Manju and Rolf whenever I can, I am still very much a student as there is definitely so much more to learn.

I love the Ashtanga system because it is so transformative and when practiced traditionally is perfect for everyone. Now I can’t imagine my life without yoga.

I teach Ashtanga as it is the only yoga I know and I love the intelligence and the logic of it! I use the counted vinyasa system because it helps to keep focus during class, and has really helped me to understand this system properly. I like to encourage people to find their own practice and take as much time as they need to work at the postures. I love to teach Mysore style classes because it’s the original all levels class, suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Every body is different so Mysore style allows for people to work at their own pace without having to keep up with the rest of the class, and truly makes the practice your own.

I work with consent cards so that people feel empowered to accept or refuse hands on adjustments throughout the class. My adjustments are more of a guide of where to move to, rather than a full on strong forcible adjustment. There is a lot to be said about suggesting the direction of a posture and working with the energy of the person to get them to the point they are comfortable with rather than forcing the “perfect” posture, which may not be right for everyone.

This practice has transformed my life and helped me to uncover the light that, for so long lay hidden within me! I love the Idea that through yoga you can help others to find their own light and change the world one person at a time!

I specialise in pregnancy, antenatal education and postnatal care for women and their families. I am  passionate about empowering and supporting people, on and off the mat through the journey of practicing yoga, leaving you physically, emotionally and mentally balanced.  I look forward to supporting you.

Jenna

I first started practising yoga 12 years ago, it was my way of finding some calm after a busy week teaching in the classroom! I loved being guided in this ancient practice and the time and space it gave me to connect to myself and others.

In 2023 I went on a week-long yoga retreat, it was during this time that I experienced the benefit of a daily practice - I felt more present than ever before! This led me to embark on my journey to becoming a yoga teacher. I studied over the course of a year with Evolve Yoga Training, completing my 200 hours in December 2024. I learnt so much during this year, in particular the power of the breath to down regulate our nervous systems, helping us to shift our mood, to feel calmer and safer in our bodies.

My own practice has evolved over the years and now generally takes a much slower pace. It leaves me feeling grounded, more at ease in my mind and body and enables me to face the outer world with a calm, more present state of being.

My teaching approach is very breath focused, moving through postures with the breath to open the body, whilst finding strength and stability. I also love the unity that yoga brings to both ourselves and with others. I believe in building communities rooted in love and support and therefore aim to provide a space which feels nourishing and supportive where my students leave a class feeling lighter, more grounded, and connected to themselves and in turn, others.

New to yoga, not practised in a while, or a regular on the mat - all are welcome here

Steve

My journey into yoga began as a teenager after I picked up a book that was left on a table at home. Curiosity led me to give it a go and I discovered a totally different world from the one I was growing up in. After discovering a copy of ‘The Meditators Handbook’ (Fontana, 1992), I began an exploration of meditation practices. With Yoga as the springboard, I experimented with Kung Fu, Chan Style Tai Chi, and hard-core endurance Zen Buddhist meditation practices. I haven’t always followed the best path, and my 20s and 30s were all about pushing myself to my physical and mental limits which just led to burnout and injuries.  These days I am much kinder on my body and mind, and I have returned full circle to Yoga to restore balance.

What captivates me most about yoga is its holistic nature – an art that seamlessly weaves together movement, breath, and mindfulness. Being hyperactive by nature, it allows me to find stillness in movement. Through this practice, I've come to appreciate yoga as a powerful vehicle for enhancing mobility, building strength, and calming an unruly mind. As I move into my 50th decade, I see more than ever the benefits yoga can bring to improving our quality of life as we age. It’s never too late to start yoga!

As well as building towards peak postures I like to include breathwork and finish with deep relaxation. My classes are practical and adapted to the needs of all levels of physical ability - yoga is not just for the young and bendy! Join me in embracing yoga as a tool for self-discovery and well-being, making it an integral part of your own journey towards a balanced and healthy life.

Bronte

My yoga journey began several years ago when I was searching for something to combine the elements of body, mind and spirit through one practice. Movement is medicine and stillness integrates, yoga is the perfect balance of both these things. I set out to learn more about yoga at the end of 2023, and completed my training in Vinyasa, Hatha and Nada (sound) yoga.
As a new teacher, I am so excited to hold space for others and offer practices focused on finding our inner flow. I find inspiration in nature and will be integrating this throughout the classes.

I look forward to seeing you on the mat

Love and light.

Sophie

My name is Sophie Walsh and I am a yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Trauma informed yoga and Pre & Post natal yoga. A couple of years ago, I had decided to take a risk by changing directions in life and fully immersed myself into the world of yoga. This all started following an 'Aha!' moment when I can honestly say that my anxiety, stress levels and mental health were at their worst. The sensation was so strong, that I immediately acted to change my life for the better. This all took place when I was working as an NHS acute speech and language therapist. Due to this, I understand the importance of taking care of both our physical and mental health.

During any difficult times, yoga has been a constant source of strength and healing for me, especially once I furthered my development into trauma informed yoga. With this experience, I wanted to teach yoga so that I may be able to offer a safe and relieving space for those who needed it. Yoga is so much more than just the physical postures that we often see in classes. It is essentially stilling the mind so deeply until it rests within a state of complete peace. My focus as a yoga teacher is to help others find calm, balance and nourishment within their hectic and wild lives. I am beyond excited to share my knowledge and experience with you all. So join me on a journey of self-discovery, healing and growth, and let's explore the magic of yoga together!'

Lucy

Hi, I’m Lucy. I came to my first yoga class over 20 years ago. Regular practice helps me to balance my mind and gives me an accepting and positive outlook on life. I’ve practised with many wonderful teachers and have been influenced by them all. I trained to teach yoga because I wanted other people to share the joy of yoga practice and the benefits that it brings. I completed my 200 hours teacher training with Evolve Yoga training and completed 40 hours Breathwork & Pranayama training in2024.I have practiced many different styles including Iyengar, Rocket, Yin, Vinyasa Flow, and Hot Bikram-style yoga.

The classes that I teach are inspired by the Ashtanga series, but I teach slow movements with an emphasis on linking movement with the breath. The pace is gentle, offering modifications and props where appropriate, with a focus on balancing the body and mind. My classes are suitable for adults of all ages, and beginners are always very welcome. I am passionate about yoga and approach my teaching with patience, clarity and calmness.

Judy

My yoga journey began a few years ago with classes at my local gym. I was immediately drawn to the sense of serenity the practice brought into my life. When I later joined Yoga Sangha as a student, I was deeply inspired by the nurturing environment of the shala and the wisdom of its teachers. It was here that I discovered a passion for Yoga, practising and learning under the guidance of Yvette and Tim and I am overjoyed that I can carry on learning in this inclusive community.

My path eventually led me to complete a 200-hour teacher training in both Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. I’m particularly drawn to the creative and dynamic flow of Vinyasa, and how it can be adapted to meet the unique energy needs of each class. Whether you're seeking an energising practice or something more grounding, I aim to create space for this and meet my class where they are.

Yoga has had a profoundly positive impact on my body, mind, and spirit. It has helped me release tension, build strength, and completely alleviate the back pain I once experienced from long hours at a desk. Beyond the physical benefits, yoga cultivates a sense of inner calm and focus, offering a welcome refuge from the business of everyday life.

As it says in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1.2: yogas chitta vritti nirodha. This is translated by some people as, “yoga is the stilling or controlling of the fluctuations of the mind.” My hope is to offer students a space where they can connect to the present moment, find stillness and reconnect with themselves.

I design my classes to be inclusive and welcoming, offering variations and modifications so that everyone feels comfortable and supported. With a background in secondary school teaching, I deeply understand that each practitioner arrives on the mat with their own unique experiences and abilities. It’s my joy to welcome individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels to practice together in an environment of respect and compassion.

I look forward to holding space for you on the mat and I hope our paths cross soon.
